IMEI suggests a mobile phone or mobile data type device.

Its not OEM as the wiring looks a little basic, Positive (Red), Negative(Black) & Trigger (White).
Multi manufacturer bluetooth module, there's quite a few on Ebay

Definitely not factory fitted.
The immo box is located up behind the glovebox, small back box around the size of a cigarette packet with an 18 way black connector.
Normally made by Valeo or Siemens.
Why do you need to find it out of curiosity?

Re: Check the photo
If the engine stops whilst running its not an immobiliser fault, the immobiliser only prevents initial starting & plays no part in keeping the engine running. Ann yes if it was an immobiliser fault then unplugging the immo box with the engine running should leave the immo unlocked.
What actually happens when the engine stops? When you try to restart does the key light start flashing? If so i would be looking at the power supplies to the engine ECU, double relay is the first thing that jumps into my head here.

Re: Check the photo
Is this a recent problem or has it been giving any problems before ? If a fuel/air problem clean the throttle plate in case it has a carbon build up making it difficult to idle. You could also slacken the fuel tank cap in case it is causing a vacuum but unlikely to be the cause.
