Xantia Oil Temperature

Post by Scorbs »

Does anyone know what the oil temp. should be on a 1.9 TD VSX estate. I'm a 90 mph on the motorway person and the temp. gets to 110 C and above. This seems too hot to me. [:D]

Oil temperature should be 90C. Obviously conditions will alter the average. Also your sensor may be inaccurate.

Is this a recent thing, the temp on mine and another Td Xantia seems higher in the last couple of weeks, I imagined it was due to the Muggy/Close weather?[:)]

The interesting thing is until I changed the rad and thermostat it used to run at about 90c. The replacment rad had a thinner core than the one I took out, could this be a factor?
