Torque for plastic thermostat housing? 207 1.4 kfw engine

Unread post by Yewboy69 »

As title, does anybody know the correct torque for the plastic thermostat housing on a 2012 Peugeot 207 1.4 petrol kfw engine?

I'm having issues getting mine to seal properly but don't want to overtighten it!

Thanks in advance!

There is actually no seal on the plastic housing. Only seal is on the thermostat itself (rubber edge on the thermostat body). Check if it is not cracked or slipped.
Sorry, no torque value found. I just do it snug enough so there is no gap in between.

If it is the complete housing as in this ebay link, it shows a blue seal. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254636470734 ... %28TU3A%29

In the Haynes manual for the C4 to 2010 it gives the torque as 10 Nm for a similar housing but yours might be different. Do the bolts up evenly to make sure the housing is flat against the head and also check for any damage of the mating surfaces.
