Xsara Picasso 2.0HDI - ECU problem
Hi all, I have a problem with my Xsara Picasso 2.0 HDI 2000 year. The ECU is a Bosch EDC15C2 with one plug. It started one year ago when it suddenly stopped to start. What I have noticed is that the fuel pump was not activated when the ignition was on. After many tries I have ordered another ECU from ebay switched off immo from eeprom and the car started to work again. During one year I have changed 3 ECUs, something is happening and my assumption is that the flash memory is burning but not sure. Sometimes the fuse 27 ( Relay Fuse) from under the hood is burning. The question is if you encounter something similar or what should I check? I think there might be a short circuit or a bad grounding.

Re: Xsara Picasso 2.0HDI - ECU problem
Update: Found the issue. I have compared a good ecu with my burned one and noticed that pin number 12 which is the power for camshaft sensor has a short circuit with all ground pins from ecu. I have started to check for wires which are coming from the sensor to ecu and there was a bad wire without isolation which on vibration touched a metal part which of course is the ground.
