X7 boot protecter..tailgate docking housing...stainless trim

How does this stainless and plastic trim come away from car body to access the tail gate clasp?
NOT the tailgate could be called loading area protector?
Has 2 metal lashing eyes in it ..

stainless trim removed....heatgun and several screwdrivers as wedges!
Does not give access to remove.. expected to see some bolts ..
the lashing eyes must have something to do with it ..
there is some movement and two locating clips but they,re not strong enough to hold it...

OH dear am I a dipstick>>>>>Lashing eyes have a plastic lever out piece.... bolts underneath..
Should have gone to ......
Now to repair that stainless panel.....
