Quick fit fuel connector

Unread post by Plant38 »

Hi

Please can someone help me?

I had to be towed home today because the quick fir connector popped off and the car cut out! The breakdown guy couldn’t fix it because at some point in the Spacetourer buses life the clip has been damaged when someone has gone at it with a screw driver and today just happens to be the day it popped off!

Can this easily be repaired with a new connector or do I need to buy the entire fuel line?

Please see the images of what’s broken and thanks in advance

I noted that the same fuel filter was also supplied to Ford models.
Consequently a search for the fuel pipe clip in the Ford range was available and was the same as the ones used on the C5 X7 2013 and DS5 2014.

A similar search may get you the required clip and not the whole pipe if a search in the Citroen range appears to be unavailable.

Hope that helps.
Andy.

A follow up the clips came from ADL Components advertising on Ebay UK

The part number 7L3Z-9S317A

From your photos they look the same as on the C5 X7 and DS 5 2.0L HDi

Good luck.

Probably worth having several of these on hand as they are all starting to break on the older cars. Wasn't aware you could just buy this small part cheaply! I see you can buy the whole plug too, but not sure what's involved to refit one.

Also found on on eBay that was £19

So the parts I bought worked all I did was remove the grey piece out of the holder on the new part and the white piece out of the old part and it all clipped together nicely…!

Thanks to all who commented and helped 😍
