ABS sensor showing 407kmphr Peugeot e208 2020

Unread post by MikehEV »

Hi, my right rear abs sensor is showing a constant 407kmphr which is resulting in a number of faults/ light on the dash. I have seen in other threads about changing the wiring loom and abs sensor which I have done, no change. I’m going to change the bearing as sounds a little resistance but nothing like enough to warrant a normal replacement. After that I’m out of ideas. Any thoughts, suggestions? Thank you all in advanced, new to the group and first time French car owner. (Other car a Land Rover so very used to constant issues and working through problems)

I would suspect an open circuit in the screen/return, so that the whole wire run is only connected to the signal input, and thus picking up lots of noise. If you have changed and checked the wire loom, look at the ABS unit. Is the return pin in the ABS connector continuous to the main zero volts (compare with the other wheel signals)?

Thanks for the advice. Tried tracing back the wires but can’t seem to find where they go / or location of the abs module. Thinking it can now only be the wires to the module, the connection to the module or the module itself.

Unfortunately I have no up to date knowledge of the how and where the ABS functions are located on recent cars, but it is complicated by the additional ways the brakes may be activated by more recent features such as traction control. Perhaps make a new post asking for that information.
