Driver's side front window regulator

Driver's side front window regulator

Hi has anyone had any issues with the driver's door window not working but can hear the motor working, can the cable be renewed or is it a complete regulator needed?

I would think regulator needs replacing, seems to be a common fault, not expensive to buy and reasonably easy to change
