Engine oil

Unread post by Spanky »

Hi all,

My girlfriend has a CITROËN C3 III (SX) 1.2 PureTech 82, 2021 plate , im wanting to change her Engine oil, but in the owner manual it does not specify what oil the car takes or how many liters.

So could someone please let me know what oil specifications are required for this car

Thank you!

I would continue with Citroen dealer servicing due to possible problems with the wet timing belt since Citroen might help with costs if it fails. Citroen keep changing oil specs and to get the latest ones I would ask the dealer service dept to give you a printout of the servicing schedule which includes the oil spec. The one supplied when the car was first sold (a single sheet of paper) will likely be out of date. The service might also include checks of the timing belt.

Bloody hell, its like that is it 🤣🤣 that doesnt sound great , wanted to save money for her by doing it myself , but i guess gonna have to get them to do it, and hopefully in future with a printout use the oil they use ,
Cheers for the reply!
