Peugeot 1007 2-tronic gear actuator problem

Unread post by fucpl »

Hello Everyone
I'm new to the forum and coming here after a week of internet search for a solution of my specific problem.

Car: Peugeot 1007
year:2006
engine: 1.6 petrol
transmission: 2 tronic

Car has an automatic gearbox problem. Has a dash on the display and refuse to display Neutral. I've been traying to get this car started for over 2 months now with no luck.

It suddenly stopped in the middle of a drive and would not start again. Was locked into gear.

The following has been done/replaced:

new klutch kit - replaced
new klutch actuator- replaced
gear actuator removed and both motors cleaned off residue
car started with a wire short in hope to get the box into N...no luck

At the moment I'm fighting with callibration of the gear actuator. I'm stuck at getting it set to a fitting possition as it was dismantled without PP200. Each time I'm trying to calibrate it PP2000 stops with message : "calibation ended with faults" when I read the faults I have following:

-possition of gear actuator incoherent with expected value
-gearbox couldn't engage in gear

When I fit the actuator onto the gearbox same thing happens (regardles of how I possition it manually) arm goes down engage gear number 5 then few clicks and error. I tried different menus: adaptation of new actuator/adaptation of new ECU/ adaptation of the gearbox. Each adaptation ends with a stuck actuator in 5th.
I need to mention that ne clutch actuator adapted without problem. And the PP2000 sees that the box is in neutral when I shift it manualy whithout the actuator installed

My questions are:
Does it mean the actuator is broken or I messed the possition of internal mechanics when I refitted the motors?
Perhaps the ECU is at fault?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanx

Do you have the battery supported when you are doing the programming?
I find that when doing the setup on Sensodrive gearboxes that the programming nearly always fails without good battery support.
You should have another running car connected to the battery via jump leads.

Here is a read out of system parameters after several attempts of programing/ stalling/ learning:

gear selection actuator position reference value 1600
gear selection actuator position 1000
gear engagement actuator position reference value 942
gear engagement actuator position 933
clutch actuator position reference value 7440
clutch actuator position 5394
Gear change actuator command (PWM) 0.0
Selection actuator command (PWM) 0.0
Gear engagement status gear change

Did you try to manually engage all gears by hand with actuator removed? To be sure that gearbox itself is not dead inside
What can also happen is that one of Hall sensors in any actuator might be dead (as i had) - in this case ECU doesnt understand what happens and never completes the programming. Best was is to hook an oscilloscope on the ECU side and check for signals
I also read that the dust from motor brushes might fool the Hall sensor readings
There are 2 sensors in clutch actuator and 4 in gearbox
There might be also water related corrosion in the gearbox ECU

From your data it looks like one gear selector sensors are not okay or this movement is not correct.

Hi
Thanks for the advice. So I think I will give up on the car and it will go to scrap yard.
Both motors on a robot have been opened and cleaned thoroughly. I have since brought another ECU from a garage with assurance the ECU was working. I bought a seconhand robot and the same thing happens. I hooked up both old and a new robot and I get mismatch of reference and actual possition. ..oh and gears work fine while shifted manually
