C5 Aircross 2.0 BlueHDI 180 EAT8 fuel consumption

Hi guys!

I recently bought Citroen C5 Aircross 2.0 BlueHDI with 8 gear automatic transmition, from 2019.
The car has around 180.000 km, and had DPF replaced around 150.000km during the factory recall (not sure if this info is relevant).

I'm stunned that the highway consumption on speeds 130 - 140kmh is around 8L/100km, or more.
I's it normal? What could I check? Thera are no errors on dashboard, and car really pulls strong.

I also have Skoda Super similar age and similar engine and gearbox, and during the same speed Skoda consumes 2L less on 100 km, even if Skoda is 100kg heavier, and has wider tires.

Just to help others, 8 l/100 km at 140 km/h works out at about 30 mpg and 87 mph.

The C5 Aircross is not very aerodynamic, more like a large brick on wheels, so at such a high speed and being automatic maybe it is going to use a lot of fuel. In the UK speed limits are up to 70 mph so you might not get anything that will help at your speed limits.

I have the same car but a 1.5 diesel, and on a gentle country lane / dual carriagway I am getting 5,3L /100km. Normally around town I get 6.2L / 100km.
