2013 C1 speedometer and indicator questions

Few questions.
1. Are the dashboard indicator "tell tale" lights replaceable bulbs or hardwired LEDs built into board

2. If I swap out Speedo will my mileage be retained or will it show donor vehicle mileage, if donor mileage how do I calibrate with my car

3. Anybody got a schematic so I can test the indicator stalk, to check for power going to LH tell tale light

4. Any problem to be aware of in disconnecting the Speedo (I've had everything removed before to change indicator stalk)

5. Hazard switch activates external lights but does not illuminate in car .... Could this cause malfunction on LH indicator tell tale light? (Ordered replacement as can't see anything wrong with it)

1) Indicators on the MK I (Middle bulb in the Headlight) is a basic PY21W Orange Bulb, not LEDs.
2) Yes, on most models once you connect the Speedo to the vehicle it will synchronise with the BSI and assume whichever is the higher mileage of the 2.
3) Not sure what you mean 'Calibrate' - once connected that's it, mileage is set.
4) Just replace it or if it's not working, get a diagnostic on it and provide the VIN and fault code.
5) As already mentioned above.

You should also be aware that there are multiple Speedometers fitted to this model, depending on Petrol or diesel, and then within these, it depends on gearbox and engine fitted as to the correct one, so if replacing essential you have the correct part.

Thanks Mark. It's the not the actual indicator bulb it's the one in speedometer. The "tell tale" lights.

One other thing, if I am changing the indicator stalk. Can I leave steering wheel off and airbag disconnected and test the new one or with the airbag off will that cause a code to flag up.

Only have a cheapo diagnostic tool that can clear codes but it may not clear an airbag code?

I think it will actually show the donor units miles as this car doesn't have a BSI, mileage is only stored in the speedo head itself.

Thanks that's what I was worried about.

New indicator stalk fitted and checked a spare I had. Both showing same fault as stalk on car. No left indicator on dash.

Has to be the led inside dash or wiring.

I need to figure out if switch is getting power with a multimeter... Have a multimeter but never used on car electric sockets.

Update... The indicator and hazards have started working again. So weird. Must surely be an electrical problem with power not getting to that left indicator tell tale on dash for some reason.

Haven't done anything extra, just started working.

Tell tale LH light flashes kinda strangely but it does flash then after a few lefts it works as normal for rest of the journey.
