Peugeot 208 1.4 ehdi semi automatic 2012 , clutch actuator will not program

Hi I am an ex Peugeot master technician, I have replaced the clutch kit in this 208 1.4Ehdi semi automatic 2012 and clutch actuator as it was faulty, I have fitted a new sachs clutch actuator and I can not get it to program I had battery charger on car and even another car connected in parallel with engine running, I am still friends with my old Peugeot works and they have sent me the wiring diagrams for piloted gearbox and I have checked wiring and all seems to be ok, and checked feeds and earths to gearbox ecu I was able to do gear selection learning ok but when it came to clutch learning, my diagbox says failed I tried many times before checking the wiring, and noticed that the new clutch actuator motor got incredibly hot and had thermal cut out after only 5-10 mins, my question is do you think my new actuator is at fault!!

It may be your version of Diagbox - it's not uncommon for issues with certain resets with some clones, but something isn't right apart from that if the actuator's heating up - I'd suggest it's not the correct part or is faulty from what you've said.

Hi I tested the actuator motor on the old unit and it was open circuit, so I removed the motor from the actuator and opened the motor and cleaned the brushes and connections and rebuilt the motor and I tested and I had .7 ohms resistance which is ok so I fitted the motor back on the actuator and tested on car and it works ok, so the new actuator I bought is faulty, replaced with another new one and all programmed ok now!! Was a faulty new unit.
