Peugeot 308 1.6thp electric issue?

Unread post by lasse_sund »

Hello. First post from a new member.
The car in question is a 308 1.6 thp 2009.
Now whit multipel faults that cant be fixt.
Started out whit the termostat stuck open. Changed the hole plastic housing whit integrated heated termostat.
but cant have the wire plugged in the termostat because as it reaches 90c it force opens so it drops to almost bottom of the meter. It keps doing this to infinity.
Then a few months later the auxilary waterpump stops working whit a polution fault on the display. Change the pump. Runs ok a few months. Now i get a error code as the car reaches 90c that the auxilary pump is not working. But i can clearly her it when turning the engine off.
Now the car stalled short after start. Fans running. Kranks over but no start. Towed home. Faultcodes

P0606

Cleared the codes.
No start.
Moved the sh fuse (grey one in cabin fusebox). Now it starts whit codes
P0606
U1113

Drive the car and seems to run fine. No faults other then
The waterpump and termostat-heater.

Later take the car for a spin and it jerks violently. Like ther is no power for a second. But most often when the throttle is at 40%.
So whit the codes on the gaspedal i bought a used on whit no luck. Same symtoms.

So is ther a chans this is the throttlebody giving up?

Or is it the ecu?

Sorry for my bad English..

I think there are current posts that discuss similar problems (Pug 3008- longgo) that point out that the turbo auxiliary pump and thermostat heater are on the same circuit. So you probably have an electrical wiring problem. Are all the connections to the ecu free from oil or corrosion?

Thanks for answering.

Yes all the ecu connections are nice and shiny. Is there a way to get the wiring diagram so i can trace them to the ecu?

I can't speak for Sweden and the dealerships there. But in Australia, which is where I live, the dealerships I have contacted have been happy to provide a lot of resources, including wiring diagrams. One service manager told me that his dealership likes to help owners of older models to keep their cars in good running condition. "We will do what we can to help them."

My suggestion is that you ask a local dealership for the wiring diagram. You'll need to quote the vehicle's VIN, and, in the case of my 406, they wanted to know what area of the car I needed the wiring diagram for. Apparently Peugeot used to, maybe still does, publish wiring diagrams for different 'sections' of the car. I needed information about the cabin fan/heater fan, so they provided me with the wiring diagram for the HVAC system.

Oh, and if the first one you approach says no, don't be afraid to ask another dealership.
