Peugeot AC control unit replacement

Heating in my 308 started to act up, totally randomly, no heating. I browsed trough Peugeot TSB, and I found one with the issue. TSB says to replace AC control unit. I still didn't check the price at the dealer, but I suspect it's not cheap.

Part number is 9832228080.

I found many affordable used control units. TSB mentioned that coding has to be done, so I am wondering if used AC control unit can be coded. Anyone knows?

Before buying any parts, why not have a diagnostic done to see if it shows what the problem is ? If the blower is still working it might just be a heater flap that is not working to direct the air over the heater.

I already did diagnostic myself. No error codes, and actuators for flaps seems to respond when I trigger them via diagnostic.

It behaves exactly like described in the TSB. After restarting the ignition, it starts working again. It happened twice so far.

It may do - depends on the vehicle's system - Mono or Dual Zone etc. so there are specific options that may need to be configured if not from the exact spec. of donor car.
