Citroën C3 mk4 2025 - Activate Functions

Unread post by c3_2025 »

Hi, everyone,

I have a brand new Citroën C3 Mk4, version Max.

Since I have this car, I think that the software of the dashboard screen have some bugs. For instance, lack of functions that were described in the brochure for this version like the High Beam Assist or the maintenance menu is not translated in my language (is only in English). Another thing is that in manual is described that is supposed to activate or not the follow me home and its time and that function is not available.

It is possible to activate those functions or maybe update the software? I tried to update the infotainment sottware, but nothing changed.

Thank you!

No.

You either have these features or you don't. You should not rely on the brochure because these highlight the features generally available - not as standard. You need to check that the trim level SPECIFICALLY includes those features - as some are only available as part of an OPTION pack.

Just because you have the top level trim, you do not get everything. Also, note that the brochures can change 2-3 times throughout the year, so you should of checked before buying the car that it had everything you wanted - by checking the trim level standard features and what is optional.

For guide me or follow me home lighting - check the touchscreen vehicle options. It should be there. This is true for Auto Dipping Headlamps - if the option is not listed under vehicle features in the touchscreen, you don't have it.

I noticed that in the dashboard there is the light of high beam headlights and my car has the frontal camera. So, I guess the necessary hardware to that is there… That’s why I asked.

The central screen of the new C3 (mk4) does not regulate vehicle funcions. This ones are in the dashboard and are controlled with the steering wheel. I haven’t found there any lights configurations…

If you have the IVI system it will be in the menu of the instrument panel. It will be in your handbook, but it may be best if you provide your VIN so I k ow exactly which system you have as there are several options.

That's a zero by the way, not the letter 'O', (just for future reference).

So there is not surprisingly some confusion with this model, as there is no 'High Beam Assist' option mentioned anywhere in the brochure for this model.

Both trim levels should include the Guide me Home / Follow me home headlights - which as I said can be activated by the configuration menu. Again your vehicle doesn't specify what system you have - only says "ANALOGUE + DAB RADIO RECEIVER", but does have connected Navigation. So you'll have to look in your manual to search the configuration options for your vehicle to check if the system is active. But as I said there is no mention of High Beam Assist anywhere for this vehicle as an option that I can see in the brochure.

In the portuguese brochure there is mentioned for Max trim level.

In my configuration menu, there is not any option for Follow-me home, although there is described in the manual…

Please show me the whole page of the front brochure and of the Max trim options page as it is not in the ones I have - it's possible you are confusing terminology... They would not make this feature available in one country and not another like the UK when it is an option on other models.

As I said, follow me home lighting is there, but no mention whatsoever of High Beam Assist on this vehicle. There is also nothing about this feature being present in the owner Handbook.

I suspect you are looking at the previous model's brochure, not the new CC21 model. The system was available on the previous model though, but not on this version.

Hy, guys
I also have a c3 mk4 2024 and of course as many problems as you want... so much so that I requested the termination of the sales contract....... most of all, apart from the standard ones as far as I can see, the radio does not work, the inability to change stations, turning off while driving, freezing, up to a few, turning on the security lights while driving, etc... most of all, it bothers me that they advertise a vehicle with the most modern infotainment system, and you get nothing..... max equipment in the vehicle and no possibility to configure it either one single system or anything..... no configuration of vehicle comfort,.... is this normal? I sent an inquiry to the French Stellantis and they told me to contact the seller regarding my concerns about telecoding max equipment....

To: Citroën / Stellantis Customer Relations (France)

Subject: Official Technical Inquiry - Software Functionality of New Citroën C3 MAX - VIN: VR7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to request a formal technical clarification regarding the software specifications and configuration capabilities of the New Citroën C3 (2024 model) in the MAX trim level.

According to the official User Manual (Full Version) provided for this model, the MAX trim equipped with the 10.25" My Citroën Drive system should allow the user to configure several key vehicle parameters. However, in my vehicle, these options are entirely missing from both the 10.25" touchscreen and the instrument cluster.

Specifically, I am requesting a technical confirmation on whether the MAX trim level should provide access to the following settings:

Vehicle Configuration Menu: The manual (pages 45, 55, 106, 112) states that users should be able to configure settings such as Automatic Mirror Folding, Follow-me-home Lighting duration, and Welcome Lighting. My vehicle has no "Vehicle" icon or menu to access these settings.

Active Safety Brake Sensitivity: The manual (page 106) describes the ability to set the warning threshold to "Far", "Normal", or "Near". This option is completely absent from my system.

Wiper Configuration: The option to enable/disable the Automatic Rear Wiper in Reverse (as described on page 57) is not available.

My question is simple: Is it technically correct for a MAX trim vehicle to be delivered with software that does not allow for any of these configurations, despite them being documented as standard features of the system in the official manual?

Does the IVI High (10.25") system in the MAX model, as produced by Citroën, support the "Vehicle Configuration" menu as a standard feature, or has it been intentionally removed for specific batches?

I am seeking this clarification directly from the manufacturer to understand if my vehicle's software is incorrectly coded (telecoding) or if the documentation provided with the car is intentionally misleading regarding the MAX equipment capabilities.

I look forward to your technical response.
