3008 Lexia connection

Unread post by wizardsend »

My 3008 1.6HDI 2014 has injector problems again, Cylinder 3 repaired at garage about a month ago.

Now cylinder 2 has same problem, this time I'm at home so want to use my Lexia ( last used on my 2002 Citroen C5 some yrs ago.

I tried new diagbox 9.85 but won't connect to car card.

I tried downloading ver 7 from the Mandrake link but zipped under a password, where do I find the password please.

I have a mechanic to change the remaining 3 injectors but he can't program them to the car.
Also some places say you have to and others state you don't as the car will program them its self, which is correct please?

I have mobility problems and live in North Norfolk so you can imagine that without transport I am desperate.

Or is there anyone in North Norfolk area that could program them with their Lexia.

Thank you for your help.

Bear in mind you can't just install V7 over the existing version - they likely will not co-exist, so will require complete uninstall of the V9.85 and clean up before you attempt V7 install.

But before you go down that route as it's a pain the rear, your VCI may not be a full chip version - so may have issues connecting to later vehicles. I can't confirm this from labels or pictures though, as these are all clones and they just cloned the labels too. Only checking both sides of both circuit board components will determine this.

I would expect the Diagbox version you have (V9.**) should work - so long as your VCI is new enough and and a full chip version that has had the firmware updated (which the Software should do when connected up) - that assumes your kit is a full chip version though, as the software is backward compatible, so likely to be your interface.

I am using my laptop only for the Lexia, so will be a clean install, but how do I obtain the password to unpack V7 from Mandrake?
I originally bought the Lexia quite some years ago, for my C5 and that all worked well, it came with Lexia s/w v 4.6 and PP2000. So I don't know if the hardware is full chipped.

I can't help you with that - this is something another member has provided, nothing to do with the Forum I'm afraid, so you'll need to contact him directly.

I suspect that your VCI is too old for later vehicles, which is why this may be fruitless - typically an older VCI may not be able to communicate with full CAN vehicles - typically indicated by lack of communication with some systems.

In principle, Diagbox 7.57 or at most 7.62 would be suitable for a diagnosis.
Whether your VCI still works with the firmware of V07 (4.3.2//4.3.3) can only be tested.
Depending on whether you are carrying out a VM or a native installation, corresponding conditions are required for the PC and operating system.
The software and corresponding instructions can be found at

Thank you for your help, But unfortunately I don't speak Spanish.
I was attempting a solo native installation.

If you use Google Chrome as your browser, the translator works perfectly. But other browsers also have translation options.
All translations into English never cause any problems.
The Deepl translator is even more accurate than Google.
I speak neither Spanish nor English and therefore use the translators.

I generally use DeepL now as it is installed and is available on right-click.
But yesterday it failed miserably to translate Indonesian to English.
But Google Translate managed it with ease.
