On a lighter note I did a 800km round trip to Paris earlier this week and got 47mpg.

Topdon Carpal
Having just bought my C5 X7 3L HDi I thought I would just check if any codes were present so bought a Topdon Carpal off Amazon just over a month ago, however I only got round to try it today only to find that the app is incompatible with either of my mobile phones. I can not return it as Amazon only give a window for returns of 30 days so I am 50€ out of pocket with a piece of equipment I can't use unless I buy another mobile phone that is able to download the app, so if you are thinking about buying one check you can download the app to your phone BEFORE buying.

Hi and welcome.
That's very unfortunate for the scanner device. Rather than buying a new smartphone, you could potentially buy a tablet (they can often be bought a lot more cheaply than phones) to use with it?
Impressive fuel economy on that run! I don't think I've seen that good on mine yet

Re: Topdon Carpal
What is the problem with installing the app? If it is georestriction, then buying another phone won't necessarily help. Depending on your phone model, side-loading may be an option.

Playstore says "this app won't work on your device". Both phones are running Android 12. So what is side loading?

Side-loading is where you obtain the software file and manually install it without using the play store. I don't think that it will help you with that failure message.Dancess wrote: 09 Mar 2025, 09:40 Playstore says "this app won't work on your device". Both phones are running Android 12. I am guessing that you have older 32 bit phones, and they are just not compatible. There is a partial list of 32 bit phones here https://pokemongolive.com/post/32-bit-a ... 025/?hl=en

Re: Topdon Carpal
I have managed to download the app to my tablet from my home internet connection unfortunately I do not have mobile data so can I create a mobile hotspot on my phone and connect my tablet to that so the app will run on my tablet?

That should work.
