ADAS ISLA Speed alert Peugeot 2008 GT Hybrid 2024

Unread post by andyapple »

Hello everyone,

I own a Peugeot 2008 GT Hybrid 2024 in Italy, and every time I exceed the speed limit (even by just 30 km/h), it emits a very annoying sound.

This is an ADAS feature introduced in July 2024 in Europe, called ISLA.

It is possible to disable it in the settings menu, but every time I turn the car off and on again, it automatically reactivates, just like the start and stop function.

Has anyone managed to permanently disable this annoying sound? Maybe using Diagbox telecoding?

Thanks!

No and you won't be able to do that with Diagbox - it's by design. Same as LDWS - not particularly useful to me as I live in the Country, so have to turn it off every time - you just get used to it.

It's more control exerted on us a drivers under the guise of 'safety'. Active safety features like Active Safety Brake, ESP, Airbags are all fine - but annoying beeps and nannying messages for this sort of thing are extremely annoying.

Yes, I don’t mind the speed limit warning on the display, but the beep gets on my nerves and distracts me.
Have you already checked Diagbox for this option, or are you assuming it can’t be disabled based on other similar features?
I would like the system to be off when I start the car, and if I wanted it, I would enable it myself.
Looking in Diagbox under the driving assistance section, I disabled the option "Presence of an acoustic alarm for exceeding the set vehicle speed limit", but it still keeps beeping, and I don’t know where else to look.
Moreover, even if I disable traffic sign recognition, I believe it still reads the speed limits from the built-in navigation system.

What you have changed there should be changed back - I think you have interfered with the speed limiter.... Please don't change random settings here as some settings are not what you think they are or as they read literally! Changing some settings that must be left at their defaults can cause other problems and affect the vehicle. I've seen people brick their vehicles doing this.

What you're asking can't be done with regard to defaulting to off and then enabling.

What do you mean by the speed limiter?

Are you referring to the one I can select from the cruise control command?

Can I ask if there is a guide or manual to understand the meaning of each option in Diagbox?
Or maybe a website with tutorials?
Thanks!

No, because this is a professional dealer-level diagnostic tool that is NOT intended for general public release or use. What you have is a clone of the original. That's why technicians have to go on expensive courses to learn how to use the system properly, and why they have regular training briefs and bulletins as part of this - another reason why you pay more at a dealer - because they have to send their technicians on constant training courses to keep up with the technology and operations.

And another reason why when the official software is downloaded by the independent garages, that they have to confirm they have undertaken the training.
