Has anyone ever changed the reverse sensors ECU in the boot and should it work straight away or does it need to be re programmed because I have changed mine and it still doesn't work? Any information please.

You can't just replace it, these need configuring for the correct type of assistance.
Specifically, whether front parking assistance is present or not and the type of gearbox fitted (Automatic or Piloted / Manual), there may also be other options for later models.

You should be able to configure this ecu using diagbox 7.55/7.57
