Citroen C5 RDRHHA - P2265 Water in Diesel Sensor

Unread post by bahcekapili »

Dear friends,

My car VIN number is : VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

I have a code P2265 - Water in diesel sensor. No service light. Fault code is only seen when connected with obd. Last week i started the car (it was about 2 Celsius degree) and stalled as soon as started. Then second time worked but with with accelerator pedal support. After that no problem. I changed fuel filter last month with oil mainenance.

Thanks for advance.

That's because your vehicle may not have been fitted with a 'Water in Diesel' sensor and is only being picked up with the diagnostic as it's not there. Not all C5 X7 engines were fitted with them.

If you have one it will be here at (22):

As long as you aren't getting any warnings or issues, I would ignore it. The water is generally removed during routine servicing that is done at a dealership. But your choice to change it if you feel it's necessary.

Citroen P2566

VIN number is : VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Code is only seen as obd reader connected other else no caution on dashboard. Also no power loss.

Before that vacuum hose was cracked and P0299 / P1497 / P2562 codes was present and car was going in limp mode. We repaired vacuum hose connection to vacuum pump and P0299 gone also no performance issues. Than changed Turbo selenoid valve and P1497 and P2592 were gone and everything was ok but P2566 appeared.

Now is there something to do for example we changed turbo selenoid valve but nothing with Lexia. Maybe learning process?

If there is needed i will replace turbo position copy sensor on westagate but unfortunately it is impossible to find here as alone. Sold with westagate.

This is vacuum filter. When we do smoke test there is so much smoke coming from the bottom of filter case. Is this like a breather?

I couldn't remove the sponge inside the box (N75 filter), but I managed to get the dust out by holding the air as much as I could. I also canceled the power boost software and went back to the original software. I don't get the P1497/P2562/P2566/P0299 code errors anymore. Also P2265 code may be related with loosen screw on the fuel filter. Because there is no more P2265 also.
