Peugeot 307 1.6 2001 Adjusting gear shifting cable

Unread post by MeiKuro »

Hello,
I have Peugeot 307 1.6 2001 HB. Sometimes have a problem with first gear once I can not "find" this gear and other time it goes in with grind sound or just goes in without problems. Other gears are fine and without any issue. Always when I get into first gear and move, it slightly comes back but its in that gear anyway. Someone had the same problem? I've looked some forums with people saying its a clutch faulty, one guy told me I need to adjust cable. Could you lend me some help with my lion?

Greetings

How many km has the car done, just thinking there could be wear inside the gearbox. If a hydraulic clutch pedal with master and slave cylinders you could change the fluid as part of the brake fluid change which might help. Could also be a worn clutch.

230k km. Clutch is working normally and fluid was changed on approx. 220k km. Someone told me adjustment that gear cable would help in my situation. Do you know how can I do it? Looked up on many guides but didn't see any with 307 :-k

Some info here on replacing the gear change cables plus there seems to be a Haynes manual that will help a lot https://www.peugeotforums.com/threads/3 ... ice.25434/
