Hello guys!
I just bought a 207CC 2009 1.6 vti auto.
After a scan of my 207 due to constant ESP light fault I cam accross the following codes:
U1105 & U1305 which are related to the steering angle not detected.
With the scan tool we determined that the angle of the steering wheel is not detected, and it was reading something like 5336 degrees all the time.
Now this is how i bought the car like, and the previous owner told me that he changed the steering controls for lights and wipers due to a fault with the windscreen cleaning liquid button. He said he did not find the correct controls ( he bought one with 3 plugs instead of 4, cant remember exactly), and he put another one in. The issue is also that he does not have the old controls. This story might be a lie from him but I cant say it is.
As a side note, all the controls work , even the horn. And there is no airbag warning on. Also, my car has in the RT4 navigation the option to turn on the automatic headlights ( but I dont have any auto on the steering controls). Does the car have Auto headlighhts? How can I check? I also have a electric day/night rear mirror and seems to have a sensor.
Now the question is , are the error codes really related to the steering controls ?
How do I find the oem code for the original controls that will fit my car, as there are more than 20 variants and I am not sure.
I have also ordered a Lexia 3 with Diagnbox and I am also willing to retrofit any other control module that will fit if possible. Would like to add also auto headlights and windscreen wipers if possible alongside this repair.
My cars VIN is : VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Thank you!
