I've owned a 2018 DS7 BlueHDI for almost a month - very happy with the vehicle, in fact still smitten!
Today my missus was on the school run and when she returned to the car to start it a message appeared "key not recognised". It then went into Eco-mode and the display went off. I had read on this forum about the BSI reset which I tried. As I pulled the positive terminal off the battery it sprung back and touched the positive terminal at which point I thought I may as well re-seat it. The hazard lights came on and when I tried to start the car kept turning over in a long continuous cycle but wouldn't fire.
At this point I disconnected the positive again and waited for a minute, then re-connected it and it started fine and I was able to drive home. When I got home I checked the battery voltage and I have 12.3v. We have been doing mainly short journeys so I initially suspected the car battery might not be charging sufficiently, but if it was low why was it firing continuously after disconnection and reconnection?
On the subject of the battery, I keep disabling the stop/start feature in the vehicle/driving menu but next time I use the car it appears to be enabled in the menu - can it be disabled permanently. Any other tips for conserving the battery if on shorter runs - not using the heated seats I guess is a good start!

Re: Key Not Recognised
Are we talking about a regular bladed key or a 'smart' key push button start?

Stop start key... The keyless entry worked and I checked the fob battery which read 3v...

Re: Key Not Recognised
Try to start holding the key fob to the Pad on the steering column and press the start-stop button (left bottom side, there is a plastic oval). Should work.
