Hello everyone, my Citroen C5 does not start or has difficulty starting when started in the mornings in extremely cold weather. When this problem occurs, the glow plug light comes on and goes out when I turn the ignition. The engine starts easily during the day, the glow plug light does not come on. I changed the glow plugs but the problem persists. When I connect it to the computer, it gives the following error codes.
P1403 -Additional heater circuit 1: short circuit to positive -circuit error
P1404 -Additional heater circuit 2: short circuit to positive or open circuit -circuit error

Check the wires leading to 1 & 2 glow plug for any break , check the relay aswell (water ingress)

Short circuit to positive is usually a live thats touching another wire, or blown a fuse or both find that sources line then check it , could be part of the loom has exposed some wires and there touching car body somewhere, check fuses first.
