Injectors

Unread post by StevieE »

Hello guys.
I have a 2008 Citroen C8 2.0 hdi with the RHK engine. I need to replace my injectors. I have a set of injectors from a Peugeot 407 with a RHR engine and just wondering would them injectors work with just plug and play or will I have some modifications to do with the ECU? Will my snap on diagnostic tool work to do all the coding / modifying? Thanks

If the injectors are the same part number, I would think they would work but will need coding into the ECU. With the 20 digit number of each injector

Hello Steve thanks for your reply. The injectors in my C8 has the number 9659337980 top of each one but the 407 has 9657144580 on top of each one. That’s why I’m wondering would they work as the c8 is 120bhp and the 407 is 136 bhp. Sorry for being such a nuisance. Thanks mate

Hi

All the ones I have done have had 20 digits, but I do believe they vary depending on the manufacturer. If the first number appears in the ecu I would guess it is the coding number, you could put the other in and try to code it with the 407 injector number.

This suggests that the two parts are interchangeable,

Hey guys.
Put injectors in and still no good. Car drives perfectly but simply will not idle!!. Once goes below 1000rpm it will lose fuel pressure and stall.
Fault codes : U118, P1693 and U2001.
I replaced the engine in this car and I have put on the original fuel pump and rail etc. it starts it drives it will not idle. No air is getting into the fuel.
Thanks guys
