Beeps in new (used) radio

Citroen Jumpy 2012. My old radio didn't work well. Bought a new (used) radio on Internet. Plugged it in, it worked, but it beeps. Read about that. It's a theft protection. Ok. I can find radio codes and more on internet and how to change the VIN-number in the configuration of the radio that seems to be the problem. But I wonder how do I change the number. Do I have to have special equipments for that? On Youtube they use a PC with a program (Lexia?) to handle this. Is it necessary? Otherwise I will have to go to Citroen, I guess?

Yes you need Diagbox (used to be Lexia) or another hight end diagnostic tool to do this.
