Hi all,
I'm in a bit of a pickle! So I was doing some maintenance on my car and I've only gone and lost a screw down a drain! I've scoured the internet for a replacement and I'm coming up short! It's the 8mm retaining bolt for the ignition coil. I don't suppose anyone has one that I could buy, or knows the part number so that can look one up please. Thanks on advance!

Welcome along.
Your image doesn't work, you can up load to the forum. It's unlikely this bolt is anything special, measure the thread diameter of the bolt and the length and no doubt E-bay will turn something up. Or a trip down to the local scrapyard to liberate one from a similar engine!

Somewhere like B&Q will probably have a suitable replacement,

Indeed. Taken over from Wilko, with a suspicious amount of Wilko packaged items on the shelves.

Thanks so much for this lads, I wasn't entirely sure if it had to be a specific part. I'll have a nip down the retail park in the next couple days.

If you can't get a 'plated' bolt, then I suggest a little 'something' on the thread of the bolt to stop it corroding in the hole.Optikal wrote: 24 Feb 2025, 17:37 Thanks so much for this lads, I wasn't entirely sure if it had to be a specific part. Something = vaseline, grease, non permanent sealer.
