Music not playing (Citroen C3 II)

Unread post by call_me_ced »

Hi,

I have a 2012 Citroen C3 (1.2 PureTech) that I bough back in September 2022 and everything was great until earlier this year.
All of a sudden, music can't be played (no radio, no AUX, no CD, no Bluetooth). However, I can perform calls using Bluetooth (so I'm assuming the speakers work perfectly). Audio functions menu disappeared from the settings. Volume up/down, next/prev track and mode don't work (neither stalk nor main unit), unless in a Bluetooth call (I can volume up/down there and also long press on the mode to call/hang up the call).

I changed F8 and F9 fuses and also the 10A fuse on the media/radio unit, although none of them was blown. I also tried resetting the car by disconnecting the battery for ~15-20 mins and reconnecting again. It reset the date & time, but nothing else.
Multimedia screen is MONOCHROME SCREEN C (see attached).

Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks :)

Hi, it's very likely to be the RD4 Head Unit. The fact that you're getting bluetooth calls is because there is a separate Hands-free module installed which handles the bluetooth side of things that talks to the display screen.
