207 1.4 hdi no fuel being pumped and fuel pump not activating

Hi all,

My 207 suddenly cut out and wouldnt start: cranked but wouldnt start. After some checks I found that the battery had drained and a load test after charging showed that it dropped to 8,8v under load.

After getting new battery It appears that the fuel pump is no longer activating when you switch the ignition on. I measured the voltage at the fuel pump and only get millivolts so I am wondering if the relay inside the fuse box is broken. Does anyone know the wire coming from the fuse box that powers the fuel pump?

I removed the fuse box to see if I could dismantle it and solder another relay in (after testing) but cant pry it apart.

Dont want to start replacing things until I know the root casuse.

Does this even have an in tank pump?? Is there a hand primer under the bonnet?

yes in tank fuel pump and a priming bulb.

Generally if there is a hand primer there is no electric pump in the tank, there would be no need for a hand primer if you have an electric pump.
The unit in the tank willl just be a fuel gauge sender.

Have you checked the cambelt?

cambelt good. Ill try pumping the primer.
