Hi all,
I am wanting to check, and if necessary, top up my hydraulic fluid.
I have a 2007 C5 2.2hdi estate with a sport button, which, my understanding is, means i have the Hydroactive 3+ system.
My questions are, what fluid should i be using and what is the procedure for checking / topping up. I just want to make sure i'm clear, as i have read that i could cause damage by using the wrong fluid or procedure.
TIA, Rob

The best way is to use the diagbox, other wise, put the car in the low position ans look in the fill opening of the LDS tank.
You then should then see the fluid just at the bottom of it.
If this is oke then it's fine, if you don't see this, then ad LDS until you see the fluid at the bottom.
Greeting,
Kees.

Re: 2007 C5 Hydrostatic Suspension Fluid top-up.
To clarify, with the suspension at the lowest setting, turn off the engine and remove key, then slacken the LDS tank cap with a rag around it as a bit of pressure will be released. Remove the cap and look inside, the LDS fluid should be just at the bottom of the strainer that can be seen. Then put the cap back, it will pressurise once the engine is running again so no need to do anything else. Only use LDS fluid, places like GSF sell it as well as Citroen.
The sport button hardens the suspension a bit and I used it when towing a caravan but other times not really needed.
