Hi all, new member
I am at the end of my tether here, car had a dying battery, replaced with new one and now I have a BSI fault code that randomly throws the car in to limp mode.
I have tried the BSI reset (numerous times!) but get a couple of good starts before the fault throws up again.
Am I making a futile attempt to avoid a new BSI or is there something I am missing? (have used an carly to try and reset as well)
Final point to note, BSI fault existed prior to battery failing, but car ran without issue (apart from the usual rattles)
Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

You need to have the car scanned to find the exact fault codes.
It seems unusual for a BSI fault to cause a limp mode, it would be more commonly an engine ECU or transmission ECU fault code.
