Interference on the radio screen

Unread post by bohdanitas »

Hello,

I installed a Chinese Android audio system instead of my RT6.2, and it worked well. However, there was one issue—when I park my car, the rear camera doesn’t display an image on the screen.

This audio system comes with a CAN bus module, allowing me to change many settings. I decided to try different settings to enable the camera. At some point, I changed a setting related to the camera or video signal (I don’t remember exactly which one). After making the change, the system requested a restart, which I confirmed. However, after the restart, the screen started displaying a distorted image.

I have Lexia and Diagbox, and I tried modifying some parking-related configurations in the BSI module, but nothing helped. I suspect I need to adjust settings elsewhere or reset the CAN bus settings.
Please help me

Looks like you've had it!

I assume you have changed some settings in the Android module using their settings? If that's the case it looks like you changed the signal frequency or similar to something not compatible with the default screen. There's nothing you can do with Diagbox assuming you have used the settings in the Android unit. Lesson there....

The only way I can suggest is to contact the manufacturer of the Android unit and ask if there's a way to factory reset it. Failing that, you may have to revert back to your RT6 and chuck the Android unit in the bin.

Without a display you have no way of interacting with the unit to set anything back.

This was clearly not compatible with your existing screen or if it was, did not support the reverse camera function.
