Hi all.
First post i have a Citroen e c4 e series 54kw Sept 2024. does anyone know if this model is fitted with wi-fi I am trying to connect a iphone but the wifi connection tab is white then when toggled appears to switch on then goes off, there are no connect to hotspot or other options so assume no wifi or a fault with software. Thanks

Re: citroen wi-fi
To use CarPlay, connect to the correct USB port with a cable, as I can't confirm this model has wireless CarPlay - it depends on the exact system fitted.
The WiFi connection tab is not for this purpose - it is for sharing a tethered smart phone's data connection with the vehicle for use by passengers like a mobile router if you will, or in some case to provide a WiFi link to the car if the built in WiFi is not able to connect to PSA servers.

Re: citroen wi-fi
Thanks Marc.
Car is wireless, what i have been trying to do is connect to my iphone hotspot, but when using the connectivity button to try and connect to it the wifi button which is white when pressed appears to search for a moment then returns to the off position with no wifi identified. also cannot switch on cabin preconditioning from outside the car with the message no network coverage which is why i suspect a fault with the wi-fi if fitted. The car was new in September so looks like a trip to the dealer might be called for.

Ok so if you’ve allowed all permissions on your phone then probably best to gwt the dealer to sort it. There have been multiple issues with this system since release. Let us know how it goes.

Re: citroen wi-fi
So, had the car to the main dealer to check out the wi-fi problem also not able to connect from the my citroen app to precondition etc, keep getting no network coverage try again message. Dealer stumped as well, decided to check on any recall for the car and found that there are two outstanding one for software which may solve the problem and one for the boot catch which may or may not require changing, apparently should have have recall notice from the DVLA but none received. Car is only 4 months old. 2 week wait to get it into the workshop.

Re: citroen wi-fi
Two things, firstly the App is C##@p. Secondly, the car uses mobile networks to control things like preconditioning, last known place you parked, trip data and not the WiFi, not sure what network Citroën use but getting a connection to the car doesn't always work definitely do not rely on it, however, it's better than it used to be. I've also found that closing the app while trying to send the instruction can mess things up occasionally.icandoit wrote: 14 Feb 2025, 14:31 ........ . also cannot switch on cabin preconditioning from outside the car with the message no network coverage.......

Re: citroen wi-fi
Thanks for that. Agree the app is poor. like the car though. also note with the app that the total miles do not increase with the trips, so have to update it periodically. Had a Peugeot before with virtually the same software but much better than the Citroen. See how we go after the dealer has had it.

Re: citroen wi-fi
So car has been to dealers for the day, they are unable to diagnose problem with the wi-fi issue and wandering sat nav and inability to precondition from the app. Told they have contacted Citroen technical for help but may take 2-3 months to get help from them. So i have been in touch with Citroen customer service direct and after having to send loads of pictures of the app and all error messages at each step of the process, they tell me its been escalated to tech and they will get back to me whenever they have an answer. Absolutely ridiculous car was brand new 4 months old, and be nearly a year if it takes that long to be able to use basic facilities of the car. Citroen do themselves no favours with this type of service.
