DS5 intermitent start

hi all i have a 2015 DS5 and its been at the garage for a different issue they now say it has intemitent statring problems to the point where the car will not even say to press cluth and start but if left for 1/2 hour an hour maybee it will start no issues the battery was diagnosed at a state of 41% and told to recharge and retest after charging it read absoloutly fine but the car still has the issue any ideas please many thanks
ps i have not had the car for abt 3 weeks due to the origional part clutch master cylinder was faulty and needed reordering

Difficult to know 3rd hand, but it might be the battery protection unit - if this is the case, then the mirrors will not fold out on unlocking, and there will be no response to the start button, there may also be phantom fog light failure warnings when it does start.

i dont really use it for long journeys handy to know about the mirrors not folding out if its the battery protection unit also if its any help the start stop function dosent work even after charging the battery overnight and driving to nottingham and back 175 mile each way
