Relay van 2008 Poor cold starting

Hi

I'm looking at a 2008 relay camper for an elderly friend, it's having problems cold starting, No smoke from the exhaust when attempting to start it, or when it does eventually start, so I'm presuming it's not the glow plugs and its maybe fuel pressure related any ideas where / what to check, it had a fuel filter 20k ago, its done 180,000 miles
