I have a 2024 Citroen C4 Shine with an eight speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. As I undertand it these do not have/need a torque converter. Thus, when I stop in drive (e.g. stop sign, traffic lights) is the clutch/clutches slipping?
If so, what is best practice? Always stand in neutral and select drive (reverse) at the last moment before moving off definitively?
If you could advise I would be most grateful. Best Wishes Martyn N

Re: Dual ClutchTransmission
The latest 8 speed is an Aisin box with a torque converter. PSA have never used a Dual clutch box, the EGS was a manual box with hydraulic actuation, but used a single conventional dry clutch.

As Richard says above - if you want confirmation of the gearbox type you have fitted, please provide your VIN. Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff.
