Hi all, my girlfriends c4 (2014 1.6 hdi) has just started having an issue with the seatbelt warning lamp, it comes on for no reason.
It did recently have a water leak into the car from a front door, I think Ive fixed it but the carpets still haven’t fully dried out, I’m thinking that could possibly be the issue and a connector is faulty, or possibly back of the fuse box perhaps.
If anyone has experienced any similar issues and could shed some light I’d appreciate it
Thanks.
Also, I can’t find a table of fuses that includes seatbelt warning lamp, if anyone can tell me which fuse that is I’d appreciate that too
Thanks again

Re: C4 seatbelt warning
There's no fuse for that.
Likely water has cause a short or other interference - you really need to get the carpet up and get everything dried out. Summertime is going to be your best friend here as it can take some time to get everything dried out. Be aware that there are wiring connections running under the front passenger floor carpet concerning the seat equipment, seat belt pretensioners and airbags.

Re: C4 seatbelt warning
Thanks Marc
Yeah I’m doing what I can regarding the wet carpet. I’ve had it up a little and wet hoovered what I could out, being a thick piece of sponge there was only so much I could do, I put some cat litter under it for now to soak it up a bit.
I guess that it could just be a coincidence anyway, I’ve seen other threads regarding the switch in the stalk and so on, I’ll give it all a go over soon.
Any leads on the fuse for the seatbelt warning would still be appreciated though.
Thanks

Re: C4 seatbelt warning
Does the warning go out if the seat belts are plugged in ? Any particular belt it is saying is not connected ?

Re: C4 seatbelt warning
It’s only started in the past two days so I haven’t had a chance to investigate it yet. I’m gonna have a look this evening.
Both front belts are plugged in though
