Citroen c5 x7 recirculation air flap problem

Hello, I have Citroen c5 2010 exclusive, I can not turn on recirculation air, I turn it but nothing happened, bad smell still enter in a cabin. On diagbox I saw recirculation air flap motor faulty, so where is location of flap and motor.

You may have a problem with the air entry reduction motor, which can partially of fully prevent exterior air from entering the cabin. But also consider that your pollen filter may need changing - bad smells can come from leaves and bugs that rot in the filter.

I replaced pollen filter, but bad smell enter in the cabin while passing next farm or driving behind old truck with black smoke. Is there a diagram for the location of that reduction motor?

The system will NOT stop farm smells!

It is only designed to enter recirculation mode (fully or partially when on AUTO mode) when it detects volatile chemicals like exhaust of traffic fumes, like when in traffic jams. The system can be seen to do this when reversing - as in AUTO mode, the air recirculation mode is activated to prevent the rear exhaust fumes entering the cabin when the vehicle is reversing.

The Air intake stepper motor is shown here at (14) on the right side.

Thank you, There is definitely some problem because the diagnostics show a fault, on a Peugeot 207 when I turn on the recirculation nothing enters the cabin from the outside, the car's exhaust for example, but on a C5 it definitely doesn't work. (I manually turn on recirculation not auto mod)

The vehicles have different systems so can't be compared to one another.

It is specifically stated that on the C5 X7, the system when on AUTO mode can control the level of external air according to the air quality sensor, so may allow partial prevention of exterior air - the point being it varies.

The air quality sensor detects oxidising and reducing gases (NOx and CO) which are the main air pollution agents.

But if you are manually activating the recycled Air Switch and not detecting the exterior air cut off, then you do have a problem.

Recirculation does not work in auto or in manual mod, I forgot but there was some fault on recirculation motor on Diagbox.
