Peugeot Boxer 2.2 HDI euro 4 - P1310 fault code

Unread post by MANAUDIO »

Hello,
my 2010 Peugeot Boxer 2.2 HDI has a very frustrating ECU/BSI related issue. The ECU has a "P1310 Inertia switch permanent programming not done" fault code for the ECU. This does not appear to relate to the actual inertia switch fuel cut-off which works as expected. I am wondering if this fault code relates to a crank, start but no run issue?
If one disconnects the ECU completely and then reconnects after a period of time the van will start and run correctly. Stop engine and it will restart if within approximately five minutes of the running time. After that the van starts and stops as if there is fuel starvation or injectors are turned off. Live data from Diagbox shows good fuel rail pressure and fuelk pump (lift pump) activated.
The above scenario is repeatable. Ie. no issue with engine - it will run for a long period after ECU is disconnected and then reconnected.
Clearing the P1310 fault code does not solve the problem, it reappears after first ignition cycle. I am at a loss and would appreciate some professional input.
Any ideas gratefully received.
I am usually pretty good at diagnosis!
Thanks in advance. Matt
