Auto-locking not functioning

Unread post by DragonofYoRHa »

Goodday,

About a month ago I temporarily had to remove the BSI from my DS3 due to rodent damage to the loom. The loom has been replaced in it’s entirety so nothing is damaged anymore. however I noticed yesterday that the vehicle does not auto-lock anymore when reaching a speed faster than 10kmh. The car locks with the fob and pressing the button inside too.
Does the original radio have to been installed for this feature to be enabled or is there something else amiss? I have replaced the original RNEG with an android radio.

On a similar note: my 407 doesn’t do this either. Again, I’m not sure if there is a place or menu to enable it that I overlooked. Or perhaps it has to be coded again?

Any help is appreciated greatly,

Dragon

What you normally have to do is to hold the lock button (in the car, not on the fob) for a few seconds, and a message along the lines of "Auto Locking Enabled" will appear on the display.

Hey there,

Really? I’ll try this in the morning. I’ll keep ya posted.

It worked a treat, thanks! Surprised this isn’t mentioned in the owner’s manual.

Thanks,

It is mentioned under the 'Central Locking' section of your manual. :)
