C4 G-Picasso 2l excl '15 - Clutch Hydraulic Bleed interface

Unread post by Wishdoctor »

Hello all,
I'm at a bit of a loss here. I have searched the forums here and google, used image search and have come up blank. I am hoping someone can help me.

The other day, my clutch pedal hit the floor and (with a pool of hydraulic fluid all over the road) by the time I had the car home, I could see that the problem was something to do with the pipe with the bleed nipple going to the slave.

BUT here starts the problem. I can't find any pictures or references to this type of interfacing bleed system.

I have seen Marc's excellent write-up on this area in the C3, but the C4 Picasso I have has something different which I am struggling to understand, let alone, source. I expect it will be a Dealer only part but I was also thinking of looking at breakers ... but as I say, it almost feels they have done something special to my car as the only similar part I can find is in the hydraulic system on a mazda fuel injection system.... aaarrgghh

can anyone point me at something I have missed? please

Nigel

I've removed the last 2 posts as they aren't really relevant, Wishdoctor is already a donating member Paul.

@Wishdoctor: I don't currently have the procedure for your vehicle in the resources section, but I'll put one up shortly to cover this system, but it may take me a while to assemble. Check back here for the link, which I'll put up when complete. I have your VIN already.

Note: It's a very long procedure as it covers multiple configurations / types, so will take a while to complete.

Thanks Marc.

Do you know what that part is called so that I can at least try to find the right thing? As you say, there are multiple configurations and types (and then the special - my car is one of the 3 to ever have this configuration - part that Citroen has gifted me).

I think they had the governor's mazda in the corner when they were building my car, and they bent the hydraulic pipe so it was a bit short for the OEM...."oops... what now?... Oh, that mazda has a hydraulic bleed connector on the fuel throttle system that is about the right size, we shall gift it to this Citroen for Nigel and we shall name it..... A C4 Grand Picasso Exclusive, for such it is!"

Ok, so I'll be putting the guide up this evening, but in the interim, here's the clutch diagram and I think you're referring to item (9):
C4PicII Clutch part.png
9) Circuit Bleed Union, part: 9676664180, £45.24 inc. VAT from Citroen.

If another part, just let me have the item number from the daigram.
