Where's me thermostat

Before I start stripping things down to replace the thermostat I have a stupid question, where is the thermostat? I have xantia 1.9td.
Is it behind the fuel filter body bolted to the head or is it situated in front of the filter where the top hose attachs to the filter body.
Anyone help?

You've got it Steve, make sure you have a replacement special rubber sealing ring before you go in.

Hi Steve, follow the top hose back from the rad, at the end it's clipped (jubilee) to the plastic thermostat cover which is screwed on with three allen screw, usually.
