DS3 RT6

Unread post by DragonofYoRHa »

Hello everyone,

I have a 2010 DS3 with RNEG. im looking to upgrade to RT6 (unheard of, I know). I also wish to retrofit a reversing camera. Now I’ve read somewhere you need a specific type of RNEG2 that supports the reversing camera. Could anyone tell me what I would need to make it work? i believe i also need to make or find a wiring loom for this. I have access to an OEM camera that has a 4-pin connector., not sure where the end of it goes to. Is there something more that needs to be done or what I need to watch out for? Any help is appreciated. I have a DIAGBOX so programming shouldn’t be an issue.
Thinking I may have dug a hole too big haha

Many thnks,

Dragon

P.s. I also aM in need of a config CAN disc for an RT3.

Sorry, I can't help you personally with this. There are multiple RT6 units that have different hardware and were designed for specific vehicles and applications, so I can't provide the correct unit part as there are a huge number of variants. The same goes for the wiring loom as this would not be fitted to your vehicle and these again have a huge number of variations depending on fitted equipment.

That's why we require the VIN for official parts, so ensure replacement parts are an exact match for the vehicle. Without this it will be guesswork as the looms and units differ from vehicle to vehicle and build date, left hand drive / right hand drive etc.

You may be able to search the RNEG / MyWay thread in the telematics section for others who have attempted this to gain some info.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.
