c4 2007 rear bearing nut

Hello is it true the rear disk/bearing nut should be torqued 300nm?

I think you need to post your vin so it can be checked against your car.

In the Haynes manual for the hub nut it gives 300 Nm but in the French RTA review technique manual it gives 90 Nm and then a further 29°. This may well result in 300 Nm but I do not know. A new nut should be used and once torqued up it should be peened over if the old nut was but make sure everything is right first since once peened over it will need replacing if undone again. When fitting the nut cover, tap it only at the edges using a large bearing shell or similar - if you tap in the middle it might deform and contact the axle and wear away as the wheel turns putting metal bits into the bearing.

Can you see what torque or is there somewhere i can look? Ive never worked on French cars before.
