ESP ECU location , 3008

Unread post by moss99 »

Hi all , I have had a few lights come up on my dash of my 3008 ,2013, 1.6 HDi , 1560 84 kw 114 bhp 9HD (DV6CTED) , the scan gives code:: U1208 fault in communication with the engine management ecu or with the drive train interface ecu invalid data.

I am going to check the connectors on the ESP ecu but can't seem to find out where it is , could someone point me in the right direction , also the engine management ecu ..
Car is 3008 ,2013, 1.6 HDi , 1560 84 kw 114 bhp 9HD (DV6CTED)
Many thanks.

Hi

The ABS / ASP Hydraulic block is usually hidden behind the left wheel arch lining (Passenger side). There will be a protective sleeve covering the unit to protect the ECU. The 'U' fault is a communication problem, and as the systems are connected via the CAN networks, there will likely be some problem witht he network wiring between the ESP ECU, the engine ECU and the BSI.

The engine ECU is under the cover shown at (1). Remove this to reveal the engine ECU and connectors.

You should first follow the BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure when disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.
