What could be causing this?
So, these are the codes my citroën aircross is throwing. While driving, windshield wiper turns on, alarm goes off, airbag, abs, check engine light and service light turn on, all the while tachometer and speedometer stop working.
Totally random, intermitent and without fix intervals between. Fixes itself either driving (which it does normally appart from the deffects above) or after parked for some 10 odd minutes.
If i turn off the car while the mencioned lights are on, it won't turn back on until the problem solves on it's own.
Help please

Re: Help me diagnose this
I know this might seem mean, but could you possibly post a copy of that report in English (so we can read straight off what the DTC description is)? That's likely to get the widest response.

Re: Help me diagnose this
Ok, that makes sense.
My suspicion on reading the symptoms of the fault was: sounds like a BSI or fusebox issue, taking down communications with other ECU's (possibly water ingress).
Looking at those fault descriptions, there is indeed a lot of CAN network faults (loss of communication) so that could tend to corroborate (though it absolutely does not confirm!)
I'm not familiar with that particular vehicle but based on that, first and foremost I would focus on that. Probably starting with a visual inspection of the BSI and all the wiring and connectors at it.
Check all fuses to make sure there are none blown (taking down the power to other ECUs etc.).
Then it needs to get a bit more specific - checking powers and grounds to all ECUs and if you have an oscilloscope, can go further...

Re: Help me diagnose this
Has there been any work done on the car recently?, or has an after-market head unit been installed?

The night the car first had the alarm go off random was when i took the door trim of to solve a rattle coming from a aluminium bracket that held said trim to the structure of the door itself. I didn't mess with any wires, only disconected the necessary window controls (2 conectors).
The car has a 3rd party infotainment system, but has had it for the duration of my ownership, before the problem started.

Re: Help me diagnose this
I would suggest inspection of the wiring to the infotainment system, and perhaps disconnect it for testing purposes.

So, the car just came back from de shop, no physical deffect was found, which makes me think of moisture on the bsi.wurlycorner wrote: 21 Jan 2025, 21:59 Ok, that makes sense.

Works fine as of now, but if water ingress is the problem, it'll present itself again, since it is raining a lot where i live.
Is it ok if i wrap some plastic wrap/saran wrap around it? Temperature could me a concern but I basically always run the air con.

What is it that you want to use surround wrap on? It doesn't sound like a good idea to wrap the ECU in it. Perhaps consider using something rubber or silcone to securely seal any gap in the fusebox lid for example?

Just under the steering rack on this car is located the so called BSI, a module that integrates the main ecu to the CAN network and other systems on the car.rocco wrote: 24 Jan 2025, 09:38 What is it that you want to use surround wrap on? Here it is out of it's place:
