I've got a Motorola mobile I bought to have the charging apps on for the EV but it frankly has been a pain in the butt, tempted to hit it with an axe and buy something else.
Since I took ill my daughter has been calling me daily from the States but often tapping the answer button or swiping does nothing and I finish up calling her back., I've been through all the settings and cleared caches etc. but the damned thing won't seem to want to play.
So suggestions for a replacement are welcome.

I have had Sony Xperias for years and find them brilliant in every way

Re: Which mobile?
I've been very, very happy with a series of Samsung Androids... Tough, nice to use, functional and long-lived...
My old 'burner phone' Samsung is now well elderly (8'ish), still going strong and impossible to kill... I did crack the screen two years ago by dropping it whilst running but the rapid application of a screen protector means it's still good. Battery still has most of its capacity too...
I take it running with me as if it gets broken or gets stolen it's no loss. I fear anyone nicking it from me would be very disappointed...

Re: Which mobile?
I use a Motorola but not much. Maps, texts, shopping list and some stored info, music and photo's.
Photo's are hitty missy, but worse is that it doesn't know its own number. It used to lose a '7' and today has replaced a group of three digits with three others. Had to text my son to tell me what it is.

I have a Motorola e20 & have exactly the same problem when trying to answer a call.
Most annoying & inconvenient.
Otherwise a good phone for the price.

Re: Which mobile?
Check your service provider to see if they have any deals on old models, you can often get a better device for the same price.
I had a few Samsung Galaxies, but had a couple of hardware failures and they got too expensive. I then had a couple of Motorolas, but the updates seem to run out very quickly. My last 2 phones have been mid range Xiaomi which I have been fairly happy with, although I am not sure about long term battery life.

Re: Which mobile?
Fiddling with the settings I came across a way of answering by using voice control, haven't tried it yet cos my girl has given up and reverted to calling me on the landline, it seems I can tap the microphone symbol and say "Answer the phone." and it should work.
Tried it out on some of the other apps like "Take me to Pod-point." and "Tale me to Octopus." and that works fine.
Still learning about smart phones what eight year old kids have known for a long time.

As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.
