Peugeot 5008 hand brake failure.

Unread post by Corremundo »

Hello Folks.

I changed all my brakes in August, afterwards….
Esp, brake failure, all Kind of lights.
Fault codes U1219, C155D, C155A. Took it to the oficial dealer, they told me it was the actuator. Changed it, still the same. Changed the operating switch, and the brake switch no luck..
Today i took a scan again, came out with an RH ABS sensor, failure, short circuit. Changed it, deleted the code, nothing. The dealer said, that they could not do anything.
So i am thinking maybe, get a wiring diagram a relay, not working fuses, and epb fuses, 12.7 volts everywhere..
Good regards Andres

Presume this is later car with the motors at the wheels? The wires rubbing through on the inside of the conduit is common on the C4 Picasso, these are probably the same. Worth pulling the wires out and inspecting them.

You need to get it on a Diagnostic machine again and see what codes it is showing, and watch the live data. It may need a calibration or something.

Hello again,
Little update handbrake and auto hand brake is working. Regenerated handbrake, with an expensive diagnostics. So went to the dealer on friday, to inform them. They were very happy, so they invited me for a cop off coffee.. After 600 GBP, and they could not fix it.
So i have one question for the experts, strange that Diagbox, no chance of getting it done. And got it, with an Autotel diagnostics. Has the Peugeot, got so difficult? I had Peugeot 405 SRI, did 350.000 km on it. And also Peugeot 505 GTI, no problems ever.. Then i got an 106, 15 years ago, complete bursted engine with 27000 km, so i took engine apart, an the sprocket on the oilpump, came loose on the welding.. New engine lasted long time.. Well i still like this French cars. Have a nice Sunday.
