Hi all,
Bit new to this forum and French cars in general having recently bought a used Citroen C3 Aircross 1.2 (2021), through a dealer. I'm trying to find out the specific oil type it takes, I've seen a few different answers online and been left more confused. Is there any way of finding out using my VIN?
Thank you
Confused on correct engine oil type for my Aircross?

Welcome. Yes, post up the VIN (it will auto hide) and we can look the oil spec up. Very important to use the correct oil in this engine.

Citroen say: EM:05W30 FPW9.55535/03
The last bit is the PSA specific spec, and it's important to use an oil that meets this as it helps to protect the belt from degradation.

Brill thanks Richard. This would meet the specifications I think? https://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-307656-tot ... O419UwPSwH
Also while I've got you on the subject- do you think its worth contacting Citroen to get them to confirm the recommended service schedule for the wet belt on my vehicle? So I've got it in writing in case I come up against any issues. Thanks

It's currently showing 62.5k miles / 6 years for the belt, with the tensioners etc at every 2nd change (i.e 125k miles / 12 years)

Your Citroen dealer will print out an up to date service schedule if you ask them and it includes the latest oil spec. You should not be charged for this, we were not for our 308 at our Peugeot/Citroen dealer.
It is worth while getting the dealer to do servicing since Citroen sometimes give goodwill gestures for common faults beyond the usual 3 year warranty.
